(6.5 – 14); 2:1 swimmer to teacher ratio

Level 1 – This is a great introduction to the water, water safety, and basic swimming skills for beginner swimmers without any experience. Our instructors provide a fun and safe environment to learn proper floating techniques for the front and back, how to go under the water, hold breath, and beginner water safety skills.

Goals: Float on front unassisted, back floating unassisted, hold breath for 5 seconds underwater, put whole face in the water, develop confidence in the pool.

Advanced Goals: proper kicking technique while front floating, back floating unassisted, pick up toys off of bottom of pool.

Safety Goals: jump in safely; jump in without goggles, walking on pool deck, excellent listening skills.

Level 2 - Our instructors build on level 1 skills to develop stronger and more confident swimmers. This is a great intermediate level for swimmers with some previous swimming or water experience.

Goals: Proper kicking technique for front floating, introduction to proper freestyle arms, unassisted back floating, back floating with proper kick, swim full length of pool, develop confidence in the water.

Advanced Goals: introduction to proper breathing technique, introduction to proper backstroke arms, introduction to proper breaststroke kick.

Safety Goals: jump in safely, jump in without goggles, jump in/turn/breathe/ grab the wall with assistance, introduction to treading water, tread water for at least 10 seconds, excellent listening skills.

Level 3 - Our instructors develop and build on skills learned in levels 1 and 2 lessons. This is an excellent advanced level for stronger swimmers who are ready to learn proper freestyle and backstroke technique.

Goals: freestyle, backstroke, introduction to breaststroke, introduction to butterfly, swim full length of pool, develop confidence in the water.

Advanced Goals: swim all four strokes

Safety Goals: jump in safely, jump in without goggles, jump in/turn/breathe/ grab the wall with or without assistance, introduction to treading water, tread water for at least 15 seconds, excellent listening skills.
